Hosted by the Honorable Leon Panetta, this 2006 short film helped inspire Californians to support a bold network of marine protected areas for Central California. According to Warner Chabot, Vice President of The Ocean Conservancy, “the video was probably the most original and effective tool in our entire campaign…We believe it captured the imagination of the Governor and inspired his support for the concept of doing for the oceans what Teddy Roosevelt did for the land.
